The 2012 college football season begins as the Ohio Bobcats make the road trip to face the Penn St Nittany Lions from Happy Valley on Saturday.

The team finished off the 2011 season with a record of 9-4 and earned a spot in the Ticket City Bowl. Penn St was defeated by Houston 30-14 in their bowl game last year as a +7 point underdog.
Sophomore quarterback Paul Jones will be the likely starter for this maligned program. They lose running back Silas Redd to USC as a transfer so their top two running backs are gone from 2011. Four of the Nittany Lions top five receivers in the passing game return in 2012.
